The UTA Football Club Team

One of the most efficient ways to bring support to the NCAA football at UTA is to provide an opportunity to the student body, alumni and community of Arlington to experience UTA football in person. We will provide this opportunity by fielding a Club Football Team. This will be a 45 man team, fully equipped and funded by our group. The team has begun holding practives at the intramural fields the first week of November and workout until the end of the Fall semester. We will fund and equip this team by seeking sponsorship from local businesses. In the Spring of 2007, the team will begin competition in the Texas United Football League. The intent here is to put a football team in Maverick Stadium, pack the stands with fans and show that UTA football will be supported. The energy created by tailgating, marching bands, cheerleaders, sitting in the stands with UTA football fans and watching a UTA football team compete after a twenty-two year absence, and all that encompasses the Texas football experience will invigorate enough support to carry on and expand our movement. Along with the awareness and support raised by the group and the team, this operation will give our young men (and women) a chance to play football beyond the high school years. In addition, the fund-rasing opportunities are limitless when it comes to putting a team on the field. Merchandise sales, season tickets sales, concessions and team program sales are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to bringing in money to the University with out Club Football team.

Fund Raising Plan to support the Club Football Team

The early estimate to fully field and fund the 45 man Intramural Club Football Team is $17,000. To raise these funds we will offer the following sponsorship packages to corporations and companies in the Arlington area. All sponsorship deals are subject to compliance with the University of Texas at Arlington and Maverick Stadium.
