What’s a fan sign?
A fan sign is a picture of you holding a sign that says “UTA rocks!” The sign can be paper, cardboard, painted on your car, use your imagination! The writing must be readable in the picture, but other than that, it’s all up to you!

We’re in college, use your brains! The picture with the coolest sign, in the coolest place, during the coolest event or that leaks with the most general cool-ocity will win the contest and the grand prize! There will also be prizes for runner ups, so get your submissions in! What do I get?
Good question! We don’t know yet! A good bet would be some UTArocks crap, er merchandise. Maybe something cooler. More details on that to follow!

Comics Storytelling: Scott McCloud Tells All

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering and Sabre Holdings present comics artist and author Scott McCloud, currently on his “Making Comics 50 State Tour.” Comics are changing fast, both in the kinds of stories they tell and how their creators tell them. Thanks to the “graphic novel” movement, the manga invasion and the growth of webcomics, the story of comics in America is more exciting and unpredictable than ever. Scott McCloud puts all these trends into perspective in a fast-moving visual presentation.
Reception begins at 6:00pm. Everyone welcome.
